Clark Albert Bordine, passed away on September 6, 2011, at the age of 89. Clark was born in Milan, Michigan, on July 12, 1922, the son of Ernest A. and Blanche (Fuller) Bordine. After high school graduation, he entered the trade of tool and die making, first at the Rouge Plant of Ford Motor Company, then with Burroughs in Plymouth, and finally with Ovidon Corporation, formerly of Plymouth. In 1984, Clark retired to care for his beloved wife, Elanor, who precedes him in death. Together, he and his wife enjoyed square and round forms of dancing, and he continued to do so after her death.Clark was also a proud veteran. During World War II, he served as a heavy mortar crewman with the 410th Infantry Division in the European Theater of Operations during the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europan campaigns. Clark is survived by his children, Thomas C. (Ruth) Bordine, Robert L. (Ronnie) Bordine, and James A. (fiancee Cindy) Bordine; his grandchildren, Martin, Andrew, Dustin, Brett, Amy, Keri and Rachel; twelve great-grandchildren; his brother, Kenneth Bordine; and his sister, Ruth Potts. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm.
