Clarabelle Kelley, age 90, danced her way to Heaven on February 7, 2020 and into the loving arms of her devoted husband, John B. Kelley after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Lansing, MI. on December 24, 1929 to Fay and Mable Williams.
Clarabelle had a love of life that was contagious to those that knew her. After being widowed at a young age and being employed at Michigan Bell for 35 years she was able to enjoy her passion of traveling with friends. She always had a suitcase packed, in the trunk of her car, in case someone said, “let’s go”. She also enjoyed playing cards many days a week at the Plymouth Township Friendship Station and anywhere else a game could be found. She loved doing crosswords with her sons, playing games with her grandchildren and supervising her daughter’s many home projects.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, passion for dancing and the kindness she showered on everyone she encountered. She was an angel among us.
Clarabelle is survived by daughter Roseanne (Tim) Coger, and sons Bill (Dayna Jones) Kelley, John (Diane) Kelley, Pat (Reggie) Kelley, sister in law, Joann Williams and son in law, Tom Wiles. She was Nana or Grandma to Steve (Karin) Wiles, Jason (Pamela) Wiles, Kathy (Alan) Yost, Vicki (the late Matthew) Deel, Melinda Powell, Elizabeth Kelley, John Kelley, Kara (Scott) Elliott, Amanda (Nick) Brennan, TJ (Cassi) Coger, Robert (Janet) Coger and Joe (Rebecca) Coger. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John B. Kelley, parents, Mabel and Fay Williams, brothers, Russell Williams and Fay Williams Jr.
