Claire R. Thompson passed away November 3, 2013 at the age of 86. She was born August 4, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Daniel and Corinda(Millette)Huneau. She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Robert A. Thompson. She is the dear mother of Robert Thompson, Mark(Judy)Thompson, Ray(Terry)Thompson, Steve(Sharlene)Thompson, Dan(Mary)Thompson and the late Michael Thompson(Sally Thompson-Reid). She is the dearest "Grandma T" to Amie(Dan)Deak, Robyn(Mike)Nowak, Erin(Mark)Fratella, Michael(Kelly)Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, Nathan(Tiffany)Thompson, Neal(Amber)Thompson, Steven Thompson, Joseph(Ann)Thompson Christian Thompson, David Thompson and the late Jeremy Thompson and great grandmother of Emalyn, Allyson and Lauryn Deak, Logan, Carson, Lily Nowak, Nicholas Fratella, Asher Thompson, Elijah Thompson, Stella Thompson, Matthew and James Thompson. Claire married Robert Thompson on January 31, 1948. They lived and raised their family in Troy, Michigan. After Robert retired they moved to Tellico Village, Tennessee in 1988. Claire was a very social person. She loved to play cards and golf, and belonged to several golf leagues. She also enjoyed reading and bowling. She was a wonderful artist, painting and working with stained glass. Claire was a talented seamstress,and loved to knit and crochet. Her greatest joy in life however, was spending time with her family. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, November 23, 2013, 9:30AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R.
