Charlotte M. Tramel

Charlotte passed away at Ashford Court in Westland on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born in Detroit on June 8, 1927 the fifth of six children of Harold and Theresa ( Crooks ) Covert. On April 27, 1946 she meet Charles Tramel Jr., her husband to be, who had just arrived at his parents home after being discharge from the United States Navy . Charlotte had moved to the house across the street while Charles was serving his country. They married on January 4, 1947 and together shared sixty seven years of life together. She enjoyed sewing, singing, flower arranging and going to garage sales yet her true joy in life was her family. She is survived by her husband Charles and children Laura ( Bill ) Steele, Dennis ( Celia ) Tramel, Charyl Tramel-Barnes, Keith ( Suzanne ) Tramel, Susan ( Dan ) Guastella and Kathy Caccavelli. Also surviving are her grandchildren Eric ( Amanda ), Heather ( Tom ), Lindsey, MacKinsey, Stephanie, Robin, Alex, Brian ( Ashely ), Megan ( Tom ), Daniel, Brooke ( Todd ), Evan and Ian and great grandchildren Noah, Abby, Julian, Cameron, Marley, Shelby, Patrick and Kennedy. She was the last surviving sibling having lost four brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday from 5 pm until 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 pm until 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 am. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
