Charlotte Ruth Lohrmann, peacefully passed on December 7, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on November 19, 1941, in Taylor, Michigan, to her late parents William and Rose Marie (Michniewicz) Duey. Charlotte's journey through life was marked by her spirit, dedication to those she loved and her love for the Lord. Charlotte was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Charlotte was a devoted mother to her six sons, Eugene (Bridgid), Donald (Rebecca), Mark (Kathy), Michael (Kelly), Christopher (Kim), and her late son Eric whose lives were greatly enriched by her love and guidance. She was proud of her family, found joy in their accomplishments, and shared in their dreams.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Zak Carwan, Donald II (fiancée Jess Miller) Lohrmann, Joseph (Kayla) Lohrmann, Melissa Lenderman, Ashley Lohrmann, Zachary Lohrmann, Jennifer (fiancée Randy Walker) Lohrmann, and Jamie (Mike) Jastatt. She enjoyed the laughter and love of her four great-grandchildren—Orion, Wanda, Mia, and Jessica.
Charlotte also held dear the bonds with her siblings: William (Ann) Duey, Betty MacArthur, Linda Warden, Daniel (Diane) Duey, Nancy (Greg) Knapp, and Tim Duey. The closeness she shared with them enriched her life, and her many nieces and nephews brought her endless pride and delight.
While Charlotte mourned the loss of her husband, Carl Lohrmann, and her son, Eric Lohrmann, she honored their memories with a strength that inspired all who knew her. Their love remained a guiding light in her life, illuminating her path even in the darkest times.
In addition to being a mom to her boys, Charlotte served as a sales assistant for a local carpet company and other administrative positions. Her high school education laid the foundation for a successful career, but it was her kind heart and pleasant demeanor that truly shone in her professional life.
Among her friendships, Charlotte cherished the relationships with her best friends Sandy (Maury) Richards and Linda (Dan)Butcher.
Friends may pay their respects on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. As we remember Charlotte Ruth Lohrmann, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life devoted to family, friendships, and love. May her kindness transcend time, reminding us all to cherish one another and to embrace the love of Christ that binds us together.
