On Friday, July 29, 2022, Charles R. Jaskolski, loving husband and father of two sons, passed away at the age of 76.
Charlie was born November 3, 1945 in Dearborn Michigan to Raymond and Marguerite (Champagne) Jaskolski. On August 11, 1967 he married Dianne Houle. He received a BBA and MBA from The University of Michigan in 1968 and began his career as a CPA with Peat, Markwiek & Mitchell retiring as a partner from KPMG in January 2001. Charlie and Dianne moved to their house in Plymouth in 1979 where they raised their two sons, Kevin and Jeff.
Charlie became the patriarch of the Jaskolski family with the passing of his father, Ray in 1982. Nothing was more important to Charlie than his family and friends (with Michigan sports as a not-so-distant second). Some of his happiest times were spent in Boyne City and on Lake Charlevoix cruising with his family on Charlie’s Diamond. He had a filterless sense of humor and there was a direct correlation between how much he teased you and how much he loved you. He was generous to a fault, passionate about Dinball, and had a strange squeaky eye thing; he was beloved by all who knew him. Devoted Grandpa, Charlie spent many hours on the sidelines of soccer fields and baseball diamonds, in the audience of concert halls and at Michigan sporting events with his greatest joy - his grandsons, Jacob and Joel.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Ray, and his mother, Midge. He is survived by his wife, Dianne, his sons, Kevin and Jeff (Ginger), 4 brothers, 2 sisters and too many nieces and nephews to count!
