Charles Horner, Jr.

Passed away at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia on November 17, 2012 at the age of 93. Charles was born in Highland Park on October 11, 1919 the son of Charles and Edith ( Altmann ) Horner, Sr. He graduated from Highland Park High School and received further education at Highland Park Community College, Lawrence Tech and the University of Michigan. He served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and then worked for General Motors. Charles enjoyed the outside activities of hunting and fishing. In 1947 he married Betty Jean Mosier and together they shared 65 years of married life. Charles is survived by his wife Betty and daughter Cheryl ( Dan ) Sargent. Also surviving are grandchildren Jeffrey and Kyle Sargent and great grandson Brayden. No services are planned at this time.
