Carolyn Louise Martin

Carolyn Louise Martin passed away on August 10, 2023. Born on August 7, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio to her parents Joseph and Louise Karl. Carolyn's life was filled with love and dedication to her family.

Carolyn's legacy lives on through her surviving family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her daughter Linda Eldridge (John) and son Scott Martin (Sandra) will forever cherish the unconditional love they received from their mother. She was also a proud and dedicated grandmother to Taylor, Kayla, and Tyler.

In addition to her immediate family, Carolyn is survived by her sister Rosemary as well as nieces and nephews who were fortunate to have Aunt Carolyn as part of their lives.

Carolyn was a beloved wife to her late husband Donald. They were married for an incredible 58 years. Carolyn is preceded in death by her brothers Robert and Jerry Karl.

Carolyn also modeled in her 20’s appearing in magazines, newspapers, and TV.

She had many friends, was an avid bowler for decades, and had traveled the world with Don and loved to share her stories with others.

She loved baking chocolate chip cookies for her kids and grandkids on every visit. She also enjoyed baking many varieties of cookies over the holidays.

She was also an active member in her church, being a Eucharistic Minister, wedding coordinator, and working the funeral luncheons.

If so desired, in lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal organization of your choice, as Carolyn loved animals and donated to the ASPCA every month. 

Funeral service will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Canton, Michigan on August 26, 2023 at 10 AM with a luncheon to follow. Below is the address for the service.
