Carole L. Kovatch

Carole L. Kovatch (nee Klein), age 82, was a long-time resident of the City of Westland, Michigan. Carole was born and raised in Detroit and attended Western High School Class of 1959. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Detroit. Carole had a long career (36+ years) working in shipping and receiving for Feblo, Inc in Livonia. She enjoyed spending time with her mother who moved in with her to help care for her boys. Retiring enabled her to do the one thing she treasured the most and that was to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Throughout her retirement she enjoyed socializing with the ladies from the Thirty-Niners Club and engaged in regular exercise with fellow seniors at the Westland Friendship Center. Carole loved spending time with family and her many friends as she was always on the go. Carole lived a strong faith life and was an active member at Our Master Lutheran Church in Inkster until it closed. She then became an active member at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia. She loved helping those in need and in her younger days volunteered her time to drive the elderly to church. Dear mother of Joseph (Sharon) Kovatch, and Jeffrey (Katina) Kovatch. Loving grandmother of 4, Shannon Kovatch, Joe Kovatch, Ashley Marlatt and Cooper Kovatch. Survived by sister Lois Nabozny and sister-in-law Pauline Klein; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carole was predeceased by parents William and Anna Klein, brothers Waldo Klein, Harold Klein, Richard Klein, and sisters Margaret Ryan and Charlotte Eminger.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Livonia, Michigan on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. Visitation will precede the church service beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service. Carole will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan. Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
