Carmen Rosalyn Kennedy

Carmen Rosalyn Sultana-Kennedy, age 70, of Plymouth, passed away on November 1, 2021.

Carmen was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 6, 1952 to her parents Robert and Pauline Sultana.

Caregiving came naturally to her with over 40 years of experience as a special education paraprofessional with Northville Public Schools. This special ability to care for others especially shined through when she cared for her son Brian through is battle against cancer until his passing in 2016 and caring for her mother Pauline during her final years of life.

She is survived by her loving husband William Kennedy, son Patrick (Brooklynn) Kennedy, siblings Robert (Annie) Sultana, Lorraine (Kevin) Fimiani and Kevin Sultana, grandchildren Kyle, Stephanie, Drew, Sophia and Alex.

Preceding her in death are her son Brian Kennedy and her parents Robert and Pauline.

Carmen is known as a kind, generous and dependable soul filled with faith and compassion. She adored the Blessed Virgin Mary, she and William prayed the Rosary daily.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, on Thursday November 4, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 5, 2021 at St. Mary, Our Cause of Joy, 8200 North Wayne Road, Westland where Carmen will lie in state from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will take place following services at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

For those who are unable to attend, the Mass will be live streamed throught St. Mary, Our Cause of Joy.

Memorial contributions in Carmen's honor may be directed to Angela Hospice. Envelopes will be available throughout services.
