Carmen A. Nacci, age 85 was born on January 21, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Pasquale and Nicholina (Fargnola) Nacci. He has resided in the metropolitan area all his life and during World War II served with the Military Police in the European Theater of Opperations. Being fluent in Italian he guarded Italian POW's. Mr. Nacci for 40 years worked for the Department of Defence as a printer at the Warren Tank Plant from where he retired in 1986. He was a member of the Calvary Post # 276 of the American Legion. His first wife of 49 years Jessie passed away in 1996 and he is survived by his new bride of 10 years, Nellie. Also surviving are his children Susan Nacci and Edwin & Linda Nacci. Nellie's children Patrcia Kennedy, Kenneth (Joslyn) Peterson and Nancy (Preston) Fitch also survive along with four grandchildren. Carmen leaves behind two sisters Eva Torrice and Carmella (Keith) Williams. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Sunday from 12 noon until 4pm and from 6 pm - 8 pm. Funeral services will follow on Monday from the funeral home at 10 am with the family's good friend John Gerrard officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Hills Cemetery in Novi where military honors will be rendered. Contributions are suggested to St. John's Providence Hospice.
