Carlton A. Milbrandt, age 92 of Northville, Michigan passed away on November 5, 2024.
Carlton was born on September 23, 1932 in Rochester, New York to his parents, the late Melba (née Hartman) and Carl Milbrandt. He is the beloved and devoted husband of Dyonne (née Cooper) and the late Hazel Milbrandt who passed away in 1990. He is the loving father of four children – Carol (Dave Gurbach) Caldwell, Ruth (Chris) Jones, Valerie (Mark) Evans and Philip (Christy) Milbrandt; step-father of three – Renee Roker, Cheree Grossglass and Mark Cooper; proud grandfather of Courtland (Angela) Caldwell, Nathaniel (Sophia) Jones, Luke Williams, Liberty Williams, Hannah Milbrandt, Lizzie (Ryan) Gilliam, Joshua Milbrandt, Nicole Prokop, Kristin (Josh) Collado, Amanda (Brandon) Justice, Stephanie (Cory) Ward, Taz Cooper, Hannah Cooper and Cali Cooper and great-grandfather of Cullen, Max, Ella, Jovia, Gabriel, Macie, Willow, Elijah, Selah. Eva. Noah, and Jackson.
Carlton was an electrical engineer for General Motors for over 30 years, and loved his work, but his true passion was his charity work which centered around introducing others to the love of Jesus. He took copies of the Bible into Russia and other countries through Book of Hope. Carlton shared his personal testimony and the great love of God spoken of in the Bible through his work with Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International. He also worked with Royal Family Kids Camp to tangibly demonstrate the love of God to children in the foster care system. He was a longtime supporter of Brightmoor Christian Church and Hilltop Nazarene Church.
In his senior years, Carlton volunteered at Henry Ford Museum running the carousel, which he loved and served as the President of Blue Heron Condominiums for 10 years.
Carlton was known for his quick wit and fun-loving ways. He was an avid traveler, loved the water and loved playing games with family and friends. He was a very hard worker and dedicated to spending quality time with his family and loved ones.
Carlton will be sorely missed, but his family is happy recognizing that they had the privilege of having so many years together and that Carlton is finally in the place to which he most longed to travel, with the Heavenly Father that he loved and served.
