Carl K. Ward

Carl K. Ward passed away October 25, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born March 22, 1927 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Frank and Mary(Maxey)Ward. Carl was preceeded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years Mary Catherine. He is the dear father of Karen(Tom)Keene and Debra(Roger)Lloyd. Dearest grandfather of Nathan Hurt, Anna(Ben Forgey)Keene, Katie Hurt and Patrick(Brittany)Keene and great grandfather of Jasper Forgey and Marla Keene. Carl was preceeded in death by 7 siblings. Carl was a Firefighter in Livonia having retired 38 years ago after 33 years of service. Carl was a resident of Livonia, Novi and Plymouth for 50 years. He was a member of Westland Moose, Plymouth VFW Post #1822 and the American Legion, organizations which Carl loved to volunteer his time to. Carl mostly loved to spend time with his friends and especially his family. Friends may visit Sunday, November 3, 2013, from 2pm until 5pm at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., PLymouth. He will later be interred at Parkview Cemetery next to his beloved wife Mary Catherine. Memorials in Carl's memory may be made to Mooseheart or the VFW, details to follow.
