Cahide Greenwald of Plymouth, passed away May 26, 2017 at the age of 80. She was born in Ankara, Turkey on February 3, 1937 to parents Cahit and Ummuhan Yucel. Cahide is survived by her loving son Dennis (Carrie) Greenwald, her seven beloved grandchildren Stefanie, Donald (Rachel), Shannon, Ronald (Kailey) III, Carissa, Justin, and Logan, her seven precious great grandchildren Madison, Declan, Lyla, Adalynn, Ronald IV, Liam, and Sawyer, and her dear sister Leyla Yucel. Cahide was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ray Greenwald and her brothers Tahir Yucel and Ethem Yucel.
A life-long gardener, she was always happy when planting fruits and vegetables. She loved toads and frogs and often encountered them while outside and would always comment on how cute they were. She also loved watching her favorite TV shows, mostly British sitcoms and also loved foreign movies. Over the last few years she began using and enjoying Facebook so she could keep up with the latest happenings around the world and also had fun reading about the many lives of her grandkids and great-grandkids.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, June 3, from 3-5pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. Her Memorial Service will immediately follow beginning at 5pm on Saturday.
