Byron Xavier Taylor

Byron Xavier Taylor, age 75, passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township on Friday, September 23, 2011. Byron was born in Detroit, on March 18, 1936, the son of Joseph B. and Frances F. (Bellrose) Taylor. He graduated from Highland Park High School. Byron worked for over 35 years in various capacities with the Detroit Federation of Musicians, retiring in 2003 as secretary and treasurer. At one time he was the leader of his band, the Byron Taylor Trio, for which he played the drums. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, and his daughter, Candice. Funeral services were private.
