Bobby Gene Prater

Bobby Prater, age 82 of Plymouth, passed away on April 8, 2016. Loving husband of the late Jane Ruth Prater. Beloved father of Jack Prater, Michael Prater, Cheryl (Keith) Johnson and Timothy Prater. Proud grandfather of Rachel Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Jonah Johnson, Wyatt Prater and Rory Prater. Dear brother of Kathleen Smith. Bobby graduated in 1952 from Roosevelt High School in Ypsilanti. In his youth, Bobby was a gifted baseball player for the United States Army and for the Philadelphia Phillies minor league team. Bobby also enjoyed fishing and traveling the United States in his motor-home.
Funeral service Thursday, April 14th, 11:00am at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1343 Penniman Ave, Plymouth with visitation beginning at 10:00am until time of service. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main St., Plymouth on Tuesday, April 12th from 5:00pm-9:00pm and Wednesday, April 13th from 2:00pm-9:00pm. Entombment Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor.
