Robert "Bob" Fletcher, a devoted Truck Driver known for his unwavering work ethic and kind spirit, has sadly passed away at the age of 59 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born on July 18, 1964, in Livonia, Michigan, Bob's journey was one filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
In his professional life as a Truck Driver, Bob approached his work with dedication and diligence. His commitment to excellence and reliability earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his career, Bob was a man of many passions and interests. Not only did he love the game of hockey, but he also generously shared his knowledge and enthusiasm by coaching the hockey team in Plymouth and other local communities. A fervent supporter of the University of Michigan Football and Hockey teams, Bob's spirit and energy brightened the stands during each game.
Outside of work and sports, Bob found joy in creating lasting memories with his family. Numerous trips in a year to Disney World were a testament to his love for adventure and fun. These experiences brought immeasurable happiness to Bob and those around him.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy; his children Robert (Hannah) Fletcher, Jr. and Drew Fletcher and Ezra; grandchildren Ellie Fletcher and Robert Fletcher III; mother Sharron Newport; siblings Tracy (Brian) Zylka and David (Marla) Fletcher; as well as brothers-in-law Mike Loy and David (Marian) Loy. He is predeceased by his father Herbert Fletcher.
A visitation to honor Bob's life will be held at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday, February 29th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 1st, at the same location starting at 11:00 AM.
Those who wish to honor the memory of Bob are invited to consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
In remembrance of Bob's vibrant life, let us hold dear the memories we shared with him and celebrate the legacy of kindness, passion, and dedication that he leaves behind. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
