Beverly Jean Bailey of Plymouth, died February 2, 2020. She was 79 years old. Beverly was born in Detroit to Samuel and May (nee Johnson) Gracey. Beverly is the beloved wife of Gary Bailey and together they shared 59 years of marriage. She is also survived by her two loving children Greg (Pippa) Bailey and Christine (David) Drabicki, her precious grandchildren Morgan (Carey), Jessica (Jeff), Taylor, Samantha (Jessie), Rachel, and Brooke, her cherished great-grandchildren Kaden, Everly, Kylelar, Samuel, Joseph and Nathanial, and two dear brothers Michael and Daniel Gracey. Beverly was preceded in death by her precious son Kevin Bailey, both of her parents, and her three dear sisters Patricia, Shirley, and Joan.
Beverly will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh that would brighten up any room she was in. She loved to travel with her husband. They shared countless trips to New York City to see shows, loved her trips to Lake Huron to be on the water, and took cruises and trips all across the world. Beverly worked as a manicurist in West Bloomfield, and an Allstate sales associate in Livonia. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. More than anything, Beverly loved spending time with her husband Gary from the time they were in elementary school.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, from 4-8pm and Friday, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. There will be a Scripture Service on Friday at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday, at 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial, Plymouth, 48170. Beverly will be in state at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angela Hospice or the Manresa Jesuit Retreat House.
