Betty J. Whitebread

Betty J. Whitebread, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away at the age of 99 on May 10, 2024 in Plymouth, Michigan. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1924, in the quaint town of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, to her loving parents Warren Wellington Search and Gertrude Frances (Hopper) Search. Betty was the loving wife of the late Lamott Alvin Whitebread for over 69 years.
 
Throughout her life, Betty experienced countless cherished moments with her family and friends. She is survived by her children Jeanne (Donald) Clemens, Richard Whitebread, and Ronald (Deb) Whitebread. Betty shared a deep bond with her seven grandchildren and was the proud great grandmother of 16 and great-great grandmother of 3.
 
In addition to her husband, Betty is predeceased by her parents, sister Kathryn Hanninen and her brother James Search. 
 
 A Memorial Gathering will be held in honor of Betty J. Whitebread on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan, starting at 2:00 PM. This will be followed by a 4:00 PM Service at the Funeral Home. Those wishing to remember Betty in a special way may make a contribution in her memory to the Ian Clemens Foundation c/o Michelle Clemens, 9950 Levan, Livonia, Michigan 48150. Contribution envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
 
Betty's warm smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace knowing that she brought light and love into the lives of those around her.
