Barbara Turner

Barbara Turner, age 82 of Livonia passed away on April 5, 2022. She was born on June 10, 1939 in Detroit to her parents, the late Stephen and Julia Zulinski.

Barbara is the beloved and devoted wife of 51 years to the late Barry Turner, Jr. who passed away in 2011. She is the loving mother of two children – Barry Stephen (Judy) Turner and Jeff (Michele) Turner and proud grandmother of Chelsea, Kiley, Taylor, Ashlyn and Danielle.

Barbara grew up a young woman in Detroit and graduated from Thurston High School in Redford in 1957. She met the love of her life, Barry and married in 1959. Barb and Barry settled in Livonia and began their dream of raising a family. Her journey continued with the kindness and love of a mother and she carried her family to many wonderful places.

Barb’s fondest memory was her home in Plymouth which she shared with everyone. Barb and Barry’s gatherings were legendary. Toward the tail end of her journey, she thrived at Villa Marie, a Senior Independent facility. She was well liked and made many new friends.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning, April 9, 2022 beginning at 10:00 A.M.and will be officiated by the Reverend Fr. Thomas Belczak. Following the funeral service, Barbara will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
