Arthur C. Miles

Arthur C. Miles passed away at St. Mary Mercy Hospital on Monday, May 26th at the age of 88. Arthur was born in Detroit on October 24, 1925 the son of Walter and Stephanie ( nee Brozdowska ) Chmielewski. He graduated from Hamtramck High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy serving during World War II. After his service to his country he attended and graduated from the University of Detroit earning a Bachelor in Business Administration degree. He worked his entire career in banking with NBD which became Chase Bank at his retirement in 1988. Arthur loved sports, all the local teams and playing golf right up until his illness precluded him from doing so. Art and his family have resided in the Northville area since 1973 and were members of St. Kenneth Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aurelia. He was preceded in death by his two sons Dennis and Arthur and brothers Henry and Edward Chmielewski. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 pm until 8 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:30 am until time of the funeral mass at 11 am at St Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Road, Plymouth. Later he will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights. Contributions are suggested to those of your choice.
