Anna L. Nix passed away at her home on Sunday, May 28, 2012 with her family beside her at the age of 82. Anna was born in Booneville, Kentucky on October 28, 1929 the daughter of Matthew and Willie ( Short ) McIntosh. Until about the age of 18 she resided in Kentucky where she did her schooling. She resided in Ohio for about five years before moving to the Plymouth area. In the mid 1950's she married William Nix who passed away in 1982. During her life time she worked at Plymouth Stamping, Anchor Coupling and also did home cleaning but her main joy was her husband and children and just being around people. She was a real" people " person. Another great joy in her life was gardening, espcially with her vegetable patch which produced abundance of fresh garden goodies. Anna also enjoyed reading and traveling and playing " Yatzee ". She is survived by her daughter Linda Checinski and grandchildren Tyson, Nickie and Gwen Shouse. She was preceded in death by two children William and Willis Shouse. Also surviving are siblings, Beech McIntosh, Juanita Wolford, Evla Woodard and Ola Young. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 10am until time of the funeral service at 1pm. The Reverend Drex Morton will be officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
