Ann Wiercioch died September 30, at the age of 79. She is survived by her loving husband Bill and they just celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her two sons Brian (Susan) Wiercioch and Gregory (Cristina) Wiercioch. Also surviving Ann are her 4 grandchildren: Troy, Sarah (Jose), Lucas and Nicolas and her 2 great-grandchildren Luciano and Cristiano. Ann was preceded in death by her brothers Kevin and Tom as well as her sisters Frances and Veronica. Ann graduated high school from St. Mary’s of Wayne and worked 30 years for Michigan Bell. She moved to Plymouth with Bill in 1968. Ann was also very active as a volunteer, with Bill, for the homeless community. Her involvement was in large part volunteering with the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. After retiring she also volunteered at Schoolcraft College in Livonia teaching literacy and women’s resource. Ann was an avid reader and loved making trips to the Plymouth Library. She was very proud of her Scottish-Irish heritage as well. Ann was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Saturday at 11am. Friends and family may begin visiting at church at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to your favorite literacy program or homeless shelter in Ann's memory.
