Andrew William Karl

Andrew Karl passed away suddenly on September 16, 2014 at the age of 23. At this time, service arrangements are pending. Andy will be remembered by family for his warm smile and his love of sports, especially baseball and skateboarding. "He was born smiling," said his mother. Andy was raised in Plymouth, where he graduated from Plymouth High School in 2009. His older brother, Brian Karl, said they were close growing up. After graduating, Andy attended Schoolcraft College for a few years before transferring to Wayne State University. He studied environmental science at first, but recently changed his focus to business. “He was a good student throughout his life,” said his mother, “he carried on great conversations with great wisdom and depth." He also loved his dog, Blue, Detroit Tigers baseball and skateboarding. He was particularly fond of hitting area skateparks, and was always focused on getting better at it, his brother said. “He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family, we remember his smile and know that his spirit lives on." his mother Ginny said.
