Andrew A. Haines, age 84 passed away on December 8, 2022. Andrew was born in Erie, Michigan to his parents, the late Harry and Loretta (née Matthes) Haines. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1957 and attended Cleary College at Ypsilanti and then attended barber college in Detroit.
Andrew began his working career for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway in Plymouth, Michigan in what is now known as Old Village. Later into the 1960’s until the 1990’s, he owned the Korner Barber Shop in Farmington, Michigan. After his retirement, he became a Real Estate Agent with Century 21.
He is survived by his wife Peggy (née McFarlane) Haines, sister Leola Mae (the late Raymond) Douglas and brother-in-law William (Sharon) McFarlane; nephew James (Lindsay) McFarlane and niece Meghan (Bradley) Winslow. Also survived by great-niece Molly (Bill) Alff, Jillian (Jack) Higgins, Rachel (Joey) Chaires; great-nephew Ben McFarlane, Lucas McFarlane, Will Winslow and great-niece Olivia Winslow. Also survived by numerous great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his niece Victoria Brown.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Sunday, December 11, 2022 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1343 Penniman Avenue, Plymouth. He will be in-state from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service. Andrew will be laid to rest at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Canton, Michigan.
