Amanda Whately

February 5, 1979 — April 13, 2024

Plymouth

Amanda Whately passed away at the age of 45 in Plymouth, Michigan, on April 13, 2024. Amanda's kind heart, infectious laughter and passion for her family, friends and animals will be forever missed.

She was born on February 5, 1979, in Toledo, Ohio. Known for her vibrant spirit and compassionate nature, Amanda made a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was strong enough to flip a tire (thank you Clay at Fitt Factory), passionate and patient enough to assemble challenging lego sets with her young nephews, could expertly identify any gem or stone she came across, was an avid reader of comics, loved attending Motor City Comic Con, was a dedicated wakeboarder and a lover of all things purple. Her love of dogs helped her connect with neighbors and build a community around the unconditional love pets provide.

Amanda is remembered by her parents Randall and Mary Ann, her siblings Riley, Jillian (Matthew) Cox, Colleen, Jacob and Samuel, her nephews Hayden, Elliott and Kai, and her faithful sidekick, her dog Bailey.

Amanda leaves behind a life filled with love and cherished memories, upheld by her family and all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that her kindness has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life event will be held in honor of Amanda at Plymouth Township Park (McClumpha Park) in Plymouth, Michigan, on May 31, 2024. The event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. to commemorate the beautiful life that Amanda lived. Pets welcome.
