Alva Doris (Gross) Holk passed away peacefully on February 8, 2018, at the age of 91. Alva was born October 23, 1926, to Rudolph John and Doris Allen Gross in Highland Park, Michigan, and was the oldest of six children. She was a devoted wife and mother, married for 62 years to her husband, Aldon E. Holk. She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years. She was a member of many community and church organizations and, after retirement, enjoyed serving as a docent for the Plymouth Historical Museum.
In addition to her parents, Alva is preceded in death by her husband, Aldon E. Holk; her daughter, Leslie Anne Holk; three brothers, and two nephews.
Alva is survived by her daughter, Lisa Holk; her sister, Ellen Gross; her brother, Fredrick Gross; her sister-in-law, Kathy Gross; her sister-in-law, Audrey Gross; and many nieces and nephews.
