Allen Mitchell Fisher

Allen Mitchell Fisher, age 71 of Westland passed away on October 1, 2018. Allen was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on February 22, 1947 to his parents, Oren and Alice (nee Richardson) Fisher. He will be greatly missed by his children, Kimberly (Steven Geyer) Lovell, Krista (Tim) Carnes and Steven Fisher. He is pre-deceased by his son, James Allen Fisher. Allen is also the proud grandfather of Lauren Lovell, Rebecca Lovell, Jenna Lovell, John Allen Lovell, Brandon Austin, Ava Carnes and Joshua Fisher and great-grandfather of Ella Borza. Allen also leaves behind his niece, Kelly (Michael) Staton.

Allen had a very successful 47-year career at Ford Motor Company at the Livonia, Michigan Transmission Plant. After his retirement, Allen loved devoting more time to his gardening. He especially loved growing tomatoes. No fruit or vegetables ever taste better than those you have grown with your own hands. It provided him an amazing sense of achievement. He loved watching and nurturing the plants and just being outside embracing nature. In keeping with his love of being outdoors, Allen enjoyed fishing. He could breathe in the fresh air, watch for wildlife and just sit back and appreciate the world and its beautiful scenery while feeling the excitement of reeling in a fish.

Friends may visit for a Memorial Gathering at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, October 5th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6th beginning at 3:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home to be officiated by Pastor Drex Morton.
