Alice Frances Smock passed away at her home on Thursday, September 18, 2014, age 79, after a long battle with cancer. Alice was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother leaving behind her beloved husband, Raymond Paul of 58 years. Loving mother of her four children, Alice ( Jeffrey ) Tanner, Raymond M. Smock, Vincent DePaul Smock and Jacqueline ( Michael ) Scarpello. Dearest grandmother of Sherie ( Thomas ) McCurry, Rachel Tanner, Heather Tanner, Madeline Smock, Michael Smock, Jessica Scarpello, Michael Scarpello, Jonathan Smock and Sophie Smock. Dearest great grandmother of Grayson and Shepherd McCurry. Alice was a founding member of St. Kenneth Catholic Church and was active in Religious Education as a second grade catechist for over 40 years. She served in several other ministries for the church and was always willing to help in any way she could. Alice was known for her kind, gentle, loving, non-judgemental ways. Visitation will be held at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Road, Plymouth on Sunday, September 21, 2014, from 3 pm until 8 pm. A Scripture Service will be lead by Father Thomas Belczak at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 10 am until the time of the funeral mass at 10:30 am. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
