Alfred H. Pischke, age 89 passed away on September 25, 2022.  Alfred was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on May 16, 1933 to his parents, the late Alfred W. and Mary (née Swiecki) Pischke.

He is the beloved and devoted husband of 42 years to the late Elaine Pischke; loving father of Susan (David) Bauer, Robert Pischke, Jude (Josie) Pischke, Susan (Steven) Powondra, Linda (Rick) McBurney and Wendy Stroup; proud grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 11.  He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister, Carol (Donald) Savage.  Alfred is pre-deceased by his brother, William Pischke.

Alfred’s family tells us that he loved to play the saxophone.  He began playing when he was only 8 years old.  He played in bands during his high school years and well into his adult life.  During his retirement years he played with the Senior Orchestra’s in Naples, Florida and in the Traverse City, Michigan area.  Alfred loved entertaining audiences and making music.

He also loved to play tennis.  Tennis brought new friendships, and played well into his 80’s.

Alfred worked at the Ford Motor Design Center for 38 years as a Senior Designer.

Alfred was known to be a very talented handyman. He enjoyed renovation projects, which he completed to perfection.

Whether it was playing the saxophone and making music, playing tennis or engaging in a hands-on project, these activities gave Alfred the opportunity to express himself and to be creative which was rewarding.

Alfred also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was a generous man of Great character known, loved and admired by many and a friend and to all those he met.
