Albert William Griffin, age 87, was an only child born in Detroit, Michigan on March 2, 1934. He passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Bay City Medical Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Margaret (Bulloch) Griffin, his first wife Sally (Gibbs) Griffin (1980) and their infant daughter, Julie Griffin and son-in-law, Tom Secorski.
He is survived by his second wife of 35 years Judy (Coulter) Griffin. Children: Susan (Steve) Holcomb, Cindy (Frank) Secorski, Karen (Patrick) Haran & Edward Coulter. Grandchildren: Nicole Secorski, Shannon (Patrick) McIntyre, Stacy (Mark) Gillis, Trisha (Jim) Harding, Matt Coulter, Taylor Haran, Ally Haran & William Haran. Great-Grandchildren: Finn McIntyre, Kennedy Gillis, Meli Harding & Jack Gillis.
A long-standing member of the West Branch Moose organization & the NRA, Al was the ultimate outdoorsman. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, dune buggying, snowmobiling, camping, boating & playing euchre. Prior to retiring to West Branch, he drove a Pabst Beer Truck delivering to multiple locations around Washtenaw county. A proud man who truly loved his entire family, always with a story, a smile & a laugh, he enjoyed life to the fullest; he will be greatly missed by many.
Al will be laid to eternal rest on July 10, 2021 in a private ceremony at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, Michigan. Celebrations of Life will be held by the families.
