Albert Louis Richey passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the age of 98. Albert retired from Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Michigan. During his time with Ford Motor, in his early twenties, he was employed as a Design Engineer. After leaving Ford Motor Company, he continued his professional career with Bendix Pacific doing design engineering for defense contract work. He has lived in Dearborn, Michigan, the cities of Chatsworth and North Hollywood, California. He moved back to Plymouth, Michigan four years ago with his daughter, Valerie. Albert had a love for music and had his own orchestra. He was a band leader and trumpet player. His other interest was in photography. He also enjoyed shooting pool and bowling. Albert was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Josephine Valeria Richey and his dear daughter, Dawn Angela Richey Backstrom. He is survived by his loving daughter, Valerie Lucille Richey-White. He was the proud Grandfather of Michael Albert (Christa) Backstrom and Great-Grandfather to Ryan Backstrom and Cord Backstrom. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Adele Richey, Geneva Richey and Lucille Richey. Albert was deeply loved and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm until time of service. Funeral times in California are pending, Mr. Richey will be entombed beside his beloved wife and daughter at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, California.
