Adolph Edward Kulig passed away October 26, 2014 at the age of 97. He was born June 11, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to William and Anna Kulig. He is deeply loved and will be missed by his wife of 73 years, Rita, his children James E. (Jean) Kulig, Patricia A. (the late R. Mike) Crane and Kenneth (Rose Monismith) Kulig M.D., grandchildren Lisa N. (Thomas) Kennedy, Michael J. (Stephenie) Kulig, the late David J. Kulig, John (Kristin) Crane, Andrew (Melissa) Crane, Paul E. Kulig, Sean E. Kulig, the late Christine, Rose and Luke Crane, great grandchildren Mikayla Kennedy, Mackenzie Kennedy, Olivia Kennedy, John Griffith Jr., Parker E. Kulig, Michael R. Crane, Sophie Crane, Evan Crane, Robert M. Crane and great great grandchild Madelynn Grace Griffith(due to arrive any day). He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Adele and Olga. Adolph Edward, known to most as Ed, was a 40 year resident of Plymouth. Ed as a child, along with his family, moved from Canada to Detroit and he would later graduate from Hamtramck High School. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He retired in 1982 after 30 years at Ford Motor Company as a Purchaser in the Parts Department. He was responsible for making sure that the Ford dealerships had the parts they needed to make repairs. Ed was very sports minded. In his younger years he was an accomplished soft ball player having played at Ford Motor and on his church team. He was also a member of various bowling and golf leagues. However, Ed's greatest pride and joy was his family. He will be sorely missed by many. A Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 1pm at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd., Plymouth. Visitation will begin 12noon at St. Kenneth. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with full Military Honors.
